Hello all!

As a software architect I feel the overwhelming need to tell others how to write code…. Nah, just kidding. I actually focus more on my failures as much as my successes because I feel like learning from someone’s failures is as important, if not more important than learning from their successes.

As of this first blog post I am the software architect at Shopping Gives (https://shopping.gives), a small but growing start-up based out of Chicago. I worked to create our MVP over a 6 month span while also working my 9 – 5 (train, lunch, and nights were basically all taken by this endeavor), continued improvements while having it be still just a really time consuming “hobby”, and then luckily, earlier this year I was able to come on full time and get the opportunity to lead this team.
